Inuyasha X Kagome (A Love Fanfiction)





It was just another average day in the Higurashi house. Kagome was sitting in her room, doing homework, and thinking about Inuyasha. It has been so long since she last saw him.  
- I hope he’s allright …. She thought to herself and sighed.
Suddently, someone came out of the well and started to walk fast towards the house. A little shocked, she went out to see who it was.  – Inuyasha! She smiled happily and waved to him.
-Hey, Kagome, Inuyasha said with a little smile on his face. Are you ready to go back?
- Sorry, but I’m not ready to go back yet. She looked down fast, to avoid eye contact with him.
He saw her look down a bit.  – Now, what’s the hold-up?! It was clear to Kagome that he was impatient and really wanted her to come back.
He tried to get her to look at him. – Hey, answer me, Kagome! Angrily, he grabbed her arm.
Kagome looked up for a bit, still trying to avoid eye contact with him. – I’ve got a test in a few days that I have to study for. She said, worried that he might shout at her for that lame excuse.
She started walking towards the house and back into her room, still worried for what Inuyasha might say.
But, instead of shouting at her, Inuyasha started to walk inside the house and waited, or at least tried to wait patiently for her to be done with studying.  – If that test of yours is so important to you, I’ll wait, he said, pouting a little.
Kagome almost couldn’t believe what she heard him say. Usually, he would’ve just have dragged her along with him, even if she was ready or not. She looked at him again, a little confused.
- Hey, what’s the matter?! He looked at her, holding her hand and blushed a little. I’m letting you stay until your test is over, okay?! She smiled a little shyly, blushed a little and took his hand.  –Thank you, Inuyasha.  She walked a little closer to him, and kissed him softly on the cheek. Inuyasha blushed brightly red, too shocked to answer her.

- Inuyasha? She said, looking at him. -Why didn’t you answer me? She couldn’t help thinking that he wasn’t being himself today.
Inuyasha just looked at her, with a far-off look in his eyes. Then, he whispered softly into her ear: I love you, Kagome. And, I really want you to stay with me, that’s why I came to get you long before you were done. I really miss you when you’re not around, Kagome.
Kagome just stood there in shock. Now, she was sure he wasn’t himself today.  
He quickly turned away from her, realizing what he just said to her. –Don’t get the wrong idea, or anything.  He said, a little embarrased.
Kagome walked past him into the house again, ready to keep studying.  – I better get back to my studying now. Inuyasha followed her inside the house. He laid one hand on her shoulder. –If you fall asleep while studying, I’ll be there to wake you up, allright? He avoided looking her in the eyes this time, and just kept on walking inside the house with her.
